Description
The house is located in the village Manastir, 40km west of Varna. Driving from Varna to the village takes not more than 30 min, as the first 30 km are a motorway. However the Varna airport is only 30 km from the village, and driving to it is around 20 min. The village has a population of over 500 people, there is a restaurant and 3 small shops. The location of the village is unique – in between a beautiful forest and the fields. One kilometer in the fields away from the village, there is a small lake, suitable for fishing. Within 30 minutes walking distance from the village in the forest there is an ancient rock monastery, after which is named the village. The caves are a tourist attraction, which are still to be developped.
The house was built around 60 years ago. It has been refurbished in the spring of 2005. It consists of 2 floors, the foundations and the first floor are built with stone (50cm thick walls), and the second floor is built with bricks. On the outside the first floor is open stone, and the second is newly plastered and painted in white. Each floor is aroung 45 sq.m.
The first floor consists of a small corridor, a big living area, plumbing and space for kitchen, and toilet and bathroom together. The walls and floor of the bathroom are covered with tiles, however the stone on part of the walls is left open. The toilet is ready to use, and the bathroom needs a shower and a boiler to be fitted. The first floor has a new wooden ceiling, the floor is covered with stone plates, and the walls are open stone.
The second floor consists of a small corridor and two rooms. Its ceiling is new plasterboard, and the walls are plastered, but they have to be painted. The second floor needs a new floor.
The house has a new septic tank (3mx3mx3m). The electricity and plumbing systems are new. The plot has a new stone fence, (50 cm thick and 66m long), with decorative wooden fence on top of it (it is between 1,5 and 2,5 m high in the different parts). The windows and doors are repaired, but haven’t been changed. The fence with the neighbour hasn’t been repaired.
The plot is 1640 sq.m. and consists of three separate plots, in each of them a house can be built. The house is in a corner plot of 840 sq.m., and the other two plots are 450 and 350 sq.m. which currently are a fruit garden with around 20 fruit trees. The three plots are not separated, and have a common fence.
